Would you like to feel more aligned with what you really value in life? Perhaps you are looking to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, stress or depression. I can guide you to discover what will bring you peace, and work with you to bring relaxation, gratitude, and joy into your everyday experience.
My approach is nurturing, warm, and enthusiastic. It is my role to make therapy a safe and non-judgmental space. In doing so, it will be possible to explore old beliefs, behaviors, and patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Anxiety, trauma, and other sources of suffering exist not only in the mind, but in the body as well. Rather than fighting our symptoms, I believe our bodies speak a language that can be explored with curiosity. I use a mindfulness-based approach to empower my clients to learn the language of their own bodies and, in doing so, embrace the present moment and lead more satisfying lives.
I received my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Chicago. Additionally, I hold a MA in Teaching and a BA in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to inform my work. I am currently training with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute to obtain my certification as a Somatic Experiencing (SE) Practitioner. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer energy-based Reiki therapy to those interested.
