Has your world been turned upside-down by infertility treatments? Do you feel like you are on an emotional rollercoaster? Has sex become a chore? Have you lost hope?

We help women and their partners cope with the emotional aspects of infertility. Our therapists have more than 20 years of professional and personal experience in this field. If you are struggling with infertility, we can help you navigate this time-limited crisis by bolstering your coping skills and preparing you to manage the inevitable emotional roller coasters. Chances are that you are feeling some of these emotions: shock, denial, anger, guilt, blame, depression, hopelessness, loss of control, and/or isolation. You are not alone. We can help you identify, examine and cope with these feelings. Infertility and high-risk pregnancies can affect every aspect of your life -- your physical health, mental health, your job, and relationships with your partner, friends and family. Through talk therapy, empathic support, behavioral and stress reduction interventions, we will help you regain control of your life and find the energy to hope again.

We can help you address the following issues:

  • Infertility Psychosocial Assessments

  • High-risk pregnancies (antepartum bedrest, hyperemesis, other maternal or fetal complications)

  • Multiple pregnancies

  • Multi-fetal pregnancy reduction (We can help you face this agonizing decision and help you visualize your different alternatives; we can help partners come to a consensus)

  • Surrogacy (We can help you prepare a comprehensive birth plan)

  • Third Party Reproduction

  • Adoption

  • Pregnancy loss

  • Premature Deliveries (parenting in the NICU)

  • Birth Anomalies

  • Postpartum adjustment (We can do an in-home Family Administered Neonatal Assessment to help families learn about their baby’s competencies and feel more connected to their baby)

  • Postpartum depression (Constance is a Member of the Provider Panel for the Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Perinatal Depression Program; Professional Member of MedEdPPD)
